Ingredients of Smoothie Recipe
- Chopped Apple slices 1/4 cup
- 5 to 6 soaked almonds
- Chopped Tomato slices
- Beetroots
- Ginger roots freshly chopped
- Garlic (optional)
- Jeera powder (1/2 tablespoon)
- Kaali Mirch powder ( 1/4 tablespoon)
- Pink Himalayan salt ( as per your taste choice, you can add on if you need it afterwards)
- 1/4 cup of water
- Lemon juice
- Soaked Chia Seeds to garnish
- Ice cubes (for garnishing)
- Mint leaves for dressing
Method of Preparation
Some ground rules to be considered
- Wash all the needed fruits and vegetables thoroughly in fresh water before heading to make a smoothie. Washing with water kills all the underlying germs being settled upon the vegetables.
- Grate the veggies and fruits finely to avoid chunks in the blender. Doing this will give you a good amount of liquid content.
- You can even add honey or brown sugar to add sweetness to the smoothie. Avoid the use of white refined sugar.
Preparation Steps
- Wash all the essential ingredients apple, carrots and beetroot well. Peel the carrots and beetroots finely and chop them well to get a smooth texture. You can even peel the apple if you wish.
- Remember to chop the veggies and apple into smallish pieces to ensure a smooth texture for blending.
- Place all the ingredients slowly into the blender i.e the apples. overnight soaked almonds, finely chopped tomatoes, carrots and beetroots. Add ginger to make it more healthy for your gut system plus you can even add garlic if you want as an option.
- Add 1/2 tablespoon jeera powder, 1/4 kali Mirch powder and 1/4 tablespoon of Himalayan Pink Salt.
- Now, add 1/4 cup of water into the blender with all the ingredients. Blend well all the ingredients for 1 to 2 minutes depending upon the consistency. After that, you can even add honey as per your taste preference and blend once again if you wish to do.
- If you want to enjoy an iced smoothie drink, you can blend it along by putting ice cubes into the smoothie.
- Squeeze half a lemon into the smoothie consistency and mix well so that the lemon juice mixes well with the smoothie.
- You can add 1/4 cup of water if the smoothie consistency appears too thick!
